Health literacy is linked to literacy and entails people’s knowledge, motivation and competences to access, understand, appraise, and apply health information in order to make judgments and take decisions in everyday life concerning healthcare, disease prevention and health promotion to maintain or improve quality of life during the life course.
 
Asia Health Literacy Association has been established in Geneva, Switzerland since 2004 and has been supported by more than 40 academic professional institutions in more than 30 countries around the world, especially those in Asia. During the development of the AHLA, the International Conferenceof Health Literacy organized by the AHLA, has been held once a year since 2013. The Conference has fulfilled as a forum for partners to exchange subjects related to health literacy, their experiences, and the effective interventions for better health literacy and, eventually, better healthcare services in each country and community.
 
With the support of the Ministry of Health of Vietnam and the decision made by the Board of AHLA, the 4^th Health Literacy Conference will take place in Haiphong University of Medicine and Pharmacy from 7 to 9 November 2016 and expect to welcome more than 500 participants from Vietnam, ASEAN countries, and other international delegates.

 GENERAL INFORMATION

 
Value and duration of sponsorship:

1. Benefits of sponsorships will be agreed in the sponsorship contract with the sponsorship packages as below.

2. The sponsorship contract will take effect immediately after the contract is signed between the sponsor and the 4th AHLA Organizing Committee.

3. The deadline for sponsorship commitment and confirmation of participation is Oct 30th, 2016.

4. Sponsorships includes cash and/or in-kind, gifts, meals, etc.

5. The sponsorship contract value must be transferred into the Organizing Committee’s bank account no later than Nov. 5th, 2016.
